This is a low-dose estradiol cream applied directly to the vaginal area, formulated to treat local symptoms of menopause — dryness, discomfort, irritation — rather than the whole-body symptoms the gel and patch plans address. Because it works locally, the amount of estrogen that reaches the rest of your body is minimal. Your clinician sets your dosing schedule and confirms whether this treatment alone is right for you, or whether it’s better used alongside a systemic plan.
The cream is applied vaginally using the applicator provided. Most treatment starts with a short daily course to settle symptoms, then steps down to a maintenance schedule of two or three times a week. Your exact routine is set by your clinician based on your symptoms and response. A licensed Neuvia clinician reviews your history before prescribing.
How it works
When estrogen drops, vaginal tissue thins, dries out and loses elasticity. That affects more than just sex, it affects your daily comfort, your urinary health, and how you feel in your own body. Vaginal estradiol cream restores that missing estrogen directly to the tissue that needs it for targeted relief.

Tired of sex feeling like razor blades? Of constant dryness and irritation? Local treatments can ease the symptoms of menopause and perimenopause and get everything back to normal down there.
Vaginal estradiol is clinically shown to reduce pain during sex from week four onwards, helping intimacy feel natural and comfortable again.
Frequent UTIs, urgency and discomfort when you urinate are often estrogen problems, not just bladder problems.
Have itching, burning and dryness that never seems to go away? Estradiol restores moisture and elasticity to vaginal tissue, with clinically significant improvement from week four.
Unlike systemic HRT, vaginal estradiol works locally, with minimal absorption into the bloodstream. Which means it’s appropriate even for women who can’t take systemic hormones.

Estradiol cream works by delivering estrogen directly to the tissue that needs it. Applied locally, it rebuilds your vaginal lining over several weeks to reduce dryness and make sex comfortable again.

For the first two weeks, apply daily. After that, twice a week is all you need. Most women notice less dryness and irritation within four weeks. Pain during sex typically improves by week eight.
What the science says

“Hormone therapy remains the most effective treatment for vasomotor symptoms and the genitourinary syndrome of menopause. Low-dose vaginal estrogen therapy greatly improves quality of life for many women.”The Menopause Society, 2022
